741Logo Fiasco

Fort Collins, my hometown, "where renewal is a way of life" (ugh), is going through a branding fiasco. Check out the lifeless new logo below:

But maybe we should be grateful: it could have been much much worse (or better, for comedians). Thanks for the link, Josh.

Here's a logo quite reminescent of that of Fort Collins : my home town, Sherbrooke. The motto translation is "More than ever". Looks like those cities with wavy logos have wishy-washy mottos as well ;-). I love my home town, nonetheless !

OK how weird is this? Both Fort Collins and Peoria picked Tennessee based "branding consultants". I guess there is more to Tennessee than Elvis.

Same company, James. I guess the bland swirly lines and numbing tagline are their trademark.

Wow, those look like waves to me... reminds me of a seaside or lakeside town! Cheers Glenn (aslo from Ft Collins ) gisuser.blogspot.com

Not quite a logo, but on a similar topic, how about Seattle's slogan: metronatural Yep, metronatural, lol. They actually paid $200,000 for that. :( http://www.visitseattle.org/
